Created at Trial Bay Gaol on the Australian coast, Held in the Dark explores the site as a space under tension rather than stillness.

Through controlled illumination, the structure is revealed in fragments — never fully stable, never entirely resolved.

Darkness does not silence the image. It contains it. What emerges is not calm, but pressure — something restrained, on the edge of release.

Light does not describe the place. It exposes what it holds.
